Mission

The Wang Laboratory is located at The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. Our laboratory is committed to understanding molecular mechanisms that drive disease initiation and therapy resistance in leukemia that may ultimately lead to the development of better therapies. Our laboratory uses a multidisciplinary approach by integrating genomics, RNA biology, and immunology. We aim to develop and apply state-of-the-art genomic approaches to profile and genetically perturb cancer cells to understand gene regulatory networks that govern transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation in leukemia cells. Our long-term goal is to leverage this knowledge to devise new therapeutic strategies to target leukemia cells and overcome drug resistance in hematopoietic malignancies. The Wang laboratory believes in the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in science and medicine and is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive research and mentoring environment.
